Libre Original Glass'n Poly Tea Glass ~ Review

Libre sent me an Original Glass'n Poly Tea Glass. I will be honest with you, at first, I had no idea what a tea glass was. It wasn't until I received it & started reading up on it that I found out. It is BPA free, has a glass interior & a durable Poly Tritan exterior. You use it for loose leaf tea. 

I have to take a moment and comment on how absolutely beautiful the cap is. It has a copper/gold colored image in it that is spectacular to look at. It also has a design engraved around the cap which is very pretty as well. All in all, the designs make it look very elegant.

The Libre glass'n poly model can be used 2 ways:

1. You can add the loose leaf tea in the bottom of the glass & add your boiling water. Then when it has steeped enough (about 3-4 minutes) you unscrew the filter cap & drink from there. The filter will strain the tea as you drink so that you do not get leaves in your mouth.

2.  You can add the loose leaf on top of the filter, add the boiling water & then slowly to ensure you have a good seal, turn your glass upside down for 3-4 minutes for a time restrained steep. Then you turn it right side up & remove both caps at once and can drink your tea.

One of the most impressive things I have found about the Tea Glass, is that even with the boiling hot water in the glass, the outside of it merely stayed warm (a definite perk for cold winter days like today, you can use it as a hand warmer) The caps, while warmer than the glass, were just slightly warmer & I was still able to touch it easily. The tea stays hot for quite sometime as well!

I didn't really believe that it was "leak resistant" I mean, how many thermos's have you bought for your kids & next thing you know, their bags are soaked? The Libre Tea Glass really IS leak resistant though! I turned it upside down and once I saw it didn't leak I gave it a few shakes. Not one drop! 

Now you should remember that when you are steeping your tea, either way listed above, that sometimes the steam can build up. So when you are ready to drink, slowly twist whichever cap just a little. If there is no steam escaping, go ahead & open it the rest of the way.

Think how often you could use this. At work, school functions, shopping. This way you can have your favorite tea whenever you want & not have to worry about if certain places carry it or settle for a different brand.

Mitten Clips & Hair Clip ~ Review

I was given the chance to do a review for Andrea's Pacifier Clips & More for a pair of mitten clips & a non-slip hair clip.

Anyone that has children or has taken care of children knows how often they lose their things. This is especially true during winter time when it's cold & their little fingers run the risk of getting frozen quite fast.

I can't count how many pairs of mittens my daughter has lost. Not just of her own either, I've given her mine after she lost hers & next time I turn around, one of mine is gone too. It happened so often that even now, I carry at least 2 pairs of gloves with me at all times & I even keep an extra pair in the glovebox. It's aptly named after all LOL.

I have to say that I was pleasantly shocked by the quality of the clips. They have little "teeth" that will clamp down on the material of the child's clothing as well as the mitten itself. There is a nice sturdy silver top that is stiff enough that little fingers will have a difficult time opening it, but it's very easy for adults.

The material that is between the clips is also of good quality & from what I have seen on her website, there are lots of patterns you can choose from, over 100 of them actually. The material is perfect length so that the mittens are never far from the child's hand.

The Non-Slip Hair Clip is great! I didn't think it would hold in hair as well as it does & it doesn't catch hair when you remove it. So no little screams of pain & loose hairs to remove from it. It has material covering it too so it can be customized when you order it. The clip is strong enough to stay in hair, but not too strong to pinch & hurt little fingers if they happen to decide to play with them.

Kiss Naturals Hair Chalk ~ Review

Kiss Naturals started because the creator's daughters love to craft & they also love lip balm. They decided to experiment & after what they say was MANY fun hours,  they came up with a recipe that the kids enjoyed making & they felt safe using. Their motto is: Natural, Pure & Simple.
What parent doesn't like hearing those words?

I was sent the Kiss Naturals DIY Hair Chalk kit. When I first found out I would be testing Hair Chalk, my first thought was "O.K this is going to look & feel like those huge pieces of chalk that we used to play with as kids." Nothing special there right? WRONG!

I opened my kit up & was shocked to see that it's a kit that allows the user to make the hair chalk. All of the ingredients are there.
There is a 60 ml bottle of Witch Hazel, 6 jars of chalk base in different colours, mixing spoon, a measuring cup & a cute silicone mould.


I have to say it was super easy to make the Hair Chalk. You measure 10 ml of witch hazel into the measuring cup, then pour the entire contents of one of the jars into it & mix.  Then you just pour it into the mould.
Repeat with the remaining jars and let it sit for 2 hours. Pop it out & let sit for another 2 hours. Then you can use it.

After the first chalk, I decided, "Hey, I can just pour the witch hazel directly into the jar of the chalk base" that would make it faster & easier. Boy was I wrong. I made a little bit of a mess doing it that way. But it was very easy to clean up.

One piece of advice (other than to use the measuring cup to mix it in) is mix from the lightest colours up to the darker colours. Or rinse out your cup & spoon between chalks. The hardest part was actually waiting the 4 hours to use it.

I was very surprised to see that it is 100% natural products, but that it's also Made In Canada!
On the outside of the box, there are fun interesting facts, and everything is in 3 languages. English, French & Spanish.
